Default Pilot ejects an instant before fighterjet crashes







Pilot Capt. Brian Bews ejects as his a CF-18 fighter jet plummets to the ground during a practice flight at the Lethbridge County Airport on Friday, July 23 for the weekend airshow in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. "He is alive and we believe right now that his injuries are non-life-threatening," Canadian Forces Capt. Nicole Meszaros told CBC News.

pretty f'in amazing... these slow speed maneuvers are quite a sight and a feature of many airshows... I wonder why he didn't throttle up and regain airspeed...

good to hear the pilot is ok...

good to hear the pilot is ok...

stalled out from lack of air flow, a restart would be impossible, if it happens at higher altitudes you can restart from the air movement of the free fall, but, ah, he didnt have far enough to fall
