Thought it would be fun to start a thread like this. I figure some of you have to have some neat pictures to share. Photo of the Day is intended to be a showcase for your best pictures.

Rules:

2. Must be a picture you took.
3. Can be any format or size.

I took this picture of my son Mason at Waikiki beach in February. For those that don't know, Mason was diagnosed with leukemia when he was 23 months old. He underwent 42 months of chemotherapy and was given a clean bill of health recently. He took his last dose of chemo on Jan 25th of this year! His portocath was removed in April.

When he was initially diagnosed we were approached by the Make a Wish foundation in order to give Mason a 'wish'. We asked if we could wait so that he might remember the experience...they re-contacted us in November of last year to start the process. They interviewed him and he said that he wished to see whales and volcanoes, so they sent us to Hawaii, completely paid for by them. It was an amazing trip and one that I would have never been able to pay for so the gift was outstanding.

This was one of my favorite pictures from the trip, the absolute favorite was one of Mason and myself taken on the north shore, but it was taken by my ex wife so I included this one!
