not bad -- how long does the "turbo" last? i've got the 10Mbps version right now and it maxes newsleecher at 9.28Mbps (for continuous rates -- had it pegged for 60-70 hours at a time, lol), but has occasionally seen 17Mbps for the first 10seconds or so.

Now that i'm cancelling my cable TV and going OTA HD + my media server, netflix, and hulu, I might also bump the net speed up to the top tier

Netflix....great pricing & selection. However, in the short time I was a customer, their Blu-Ray movies were either completely unplayable or, even worse, 1/2 - 2/3 the way thru the flick, it'd take a shit. They were great about remedy-ing the problem but watching a 106 minutes movie in 2 days-apart parts made them a no-go. I think we saw 2 out of about 12 movies in one sitting. Some had several returns. One was never playable (we gave up with 4 tries) Brand new player, at the time.

Blockbuster had better quality, a decent selection but they were horribly slow in mailings.

As fas as speed goes, it's been 2 years since our last FiOS bundle contract. Last time I upped the speed but nothing else. This time, the bundles are fewer, so I upgraded to the full HD package (we had the original until now), adding about 15 HD channels. Unfortunately, we only had one option for internet speed. So, instead of 20/5, we are forced to accpet 25/25. Effective Monday. Additional cost $10. month.

For posterity

turbo isn't too much better here... only 15/1 (of which I can only get 13/1)... it's a bit of a bump over 9/1, though; and I'm saving $50/mo for no cable
